Heyo August

Saturday July 22nd: Rory's friends were throwing him a goodbye party before he left for China on Tuesday, so Kenzie, Avery and I went to the party to celebrate! We played a real nerdy version of this charades game that we always play with our group of friends and it was a grand old time. I did not not many of the cards but that's what made it all the more interesting. Caroline & Spencer also made their appearance at the party to make the party even better.
After playing the game Caroline joined me and my sisters to go to Talia's bridal shower. Connor's sister threw her the show and it was suuuuper cute and fancy. There was nice finger food and some virgin mimosas, and of course Talia looking just as hot as ever. Some of the Tucson peeps were also there including Carly, Abby & Kara so it was a good time! Talia got allll sorts of goodies, honestly whoever came with the idea to have showers is a total genius and every bride ever owes them their life.
After the shower Caroline came back to our house while Spencer was finishing up a session at the temple ( we were pretty convinced he was trapped in there). Steph was over for a little bit too working on her talk that she had to give in church the next day.
The rest of the day was pretty laxed, in fact I don't think I really did anything at all haha.

Sunday July 23rd: I was asked to sub in temple prep class for my ward. I feel like this is the ideal class that I would like to teach, but there's no one in my ward (or at least no one on that particular Sunday) that was actually preparing to go through the temple, people were just there because they didn't want to go to gospel doctrine, or I just made them come into my class haha. But overall it was a good time, and really only half a lesson I had to teach because the bishop came in and taught the second half. This was also Rory's last Sunday in Meridian ward annnnd it was Scitt's first time going to a singles ward so it was a pretty exciting day for everyone.

Monday July 24th: This was Rory's last day in the Western Hemisphere! We celebrated/mourned by going to see Dunkirk (I highly recommend.... that movie wrecked me honestly), ordering a pizza and settling Catan (I was the ultimate settler don't worry).

Tuesday July 25th-Wednesday July 26th: Can't really remember what happened these days but it involved me working and then me hanging out with Zach most likely. I also probably watched the Bachelorette and Big Brother somewhere in there. Rory did also leave for China in the morning on Tuesday, so that's crazy exciting.

Thursday July 24th: After work I took my dress in to be altered finally haha. The lady that is altering my dress is speedy quick and kept telling me to take the dress in later and later (even though everyone says to take the dress in at least three months before the wedding haha).  She's a genius though and knew exactly what needed to be done and was quick and to the point. My kind of lady honestly.
On Thursday night Zach and I picked up Cob and introduced him to Florindinos before we went over to Parker's cousins house for a fun game night with Sadie & Parker before he left for Utah on Monday. We were real party animals and played waaaay past my bed time haha and I was probably not a whole lot of fun after 9:30 but it was a successful game night with Phase 10 as the main event and Sadie conquering us all.

Friday July 25th: Something super exciting probably hahah.

Saturday July 26th: In the morning Zach and I were talking about how we wanted to buy playing cards so we can be fully equipped for when we move into our house officially. I've heard that the swap meet is the place to buy cheap dice, so I figured it is probably the place to buy cheap playing cards too. So we went to the Swap Meet for the first time! We came out with 8 decks of cards and one new fidget spinner for Avery hahah. I was too impressed with this one persons spinner collection that I couldn't not buy one!

Later on Saturday we started on an adventure to Tucson with Steph, Lauren, Derrick & Kenzie. I don't think I am allowed to say in detail what we were going for, but boy was it amazing. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time, seriously such a happy day for everyone involved! Other than the thing I can't talk about we went and checked out mine and Zach's place to put our new appliances in (huge thanks to Granny and Aunt Jenny for the early wedding gifts) and we partied with Jenny annnnnnd we went to Target and found Trev(the second best part of the whole day). Overall it was an awesome day, and a great party time with all the party animals that I hauled to Tucson. It's always nice getting the skinny on everyone's life every now and then!

Sunday July 27th: I have been planning this Family Feud for FHE coming up soon and on Sunday I was finally able to get a good chunk of people to take my survey. It's literally the easiest survey ever and probably takes 2 minutes to take... but boy are we people lazy sometimes and unable to click on a simple link. I haven't gotten nearly enough responses but you can only ask so much of people so I am pretty satisfied with my results.

On Sunday night I took the Whitmore's family photos before the Sadie and Parker portion move to Utah. These people are serious models and somehow don't look super ugly in the awful heat and humidity... I on the other hand came out of the session looking more like a lobster than a human hahah.
The session also didn't end in a disastrous fight which is pretty much unheard of in my family, so major kudos to them.

I am starting to get tired of typing so here are some other things that happened this week:
Starting off with the most important.,... BABY KEATON IS HOME FROM HIS MISSION! Do you know what that means long time stalkers of my life? That means that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE FAM IS HOME!!! It's been like 3 1/2 years since we didn't have a missionary in the fam... it's insane! Sadly the fam isn't actually going to be together until mine and Zach's wedding, but what a wonderful reunion that will be after all. I sadly was unable to go to the airport to pick up Keaton but I did hang out with him after he got released on Wednesday night! He's definitely the same ol' Keaton but just a little bit holier hahah just kidding he's always been good. We didn't really do anything particularly exciting but it was still so fun to be reunited again!

I have officially mailed out my portion of the invitations. It was being put off because I was waiting for my return address stamp to come in the mail... but the mailman was an idiot and didn't put the package in the parcel... so Kenzie, Zach and I ended up writing alllll the return addresses... so sorry if they aren't the prettiest hahahah. If you are on the Walton list... you will have a much prettier back of the envelope lol. Special thanks to Avery and my mom too for licking all the envelopes.... a job I have been dreading since getting engaged haha.

I went and tried my dress on on Thursday. It's still being altered but the seamstress thinks she is going to have it done NEXT WEEK! I told you guys she was speedy quick, it's insane! I can't wait to see the final product. Trying on a half finished product can be really disappointing... I aint going to lie I wanted to cry a little bit... but I am sure the finished product is going to be amazing, and I can't wait for you to see it in September hahah!

Oh and just in case you were curious I am of course having car problems once again... this time in the form of air conditioning. Try driving home in a 120 degree car with no cool air... I am pretty sure that is suicide... and I may have cried the whole way home.... and burned myself on everything that I touched... including my hair. What fun.

Exciting things are happening over the next week... but the most exciting is that my bridal shower is next week, I promise my blog post will be much better then!
