What is the only state that practices civil law?

Wednesday September 16
Wednesday was a much more exciting work day than usual. Jesus and I went to Ben's Bells to volunteer for an hour. I was pretty stoked because although I am in close proximity to Ben's Bells and have on multiple occasions taken pictures by their Be Kind mosaics, I had never actually volunteered there. Jesus volunteers there a lot so he showed me the ropes of the place, and we ended up making a lot of the beads in just under an hour.

Thursday September 17
Just another school day, but I spent a lot of my time looking for someone to feature in my new multimedia assignment. The assignment is to interview an interesting person and take pictures of them all in black & white. I reaaalllyyy want to interview a drag queen because I don't think it's ever been done before for this class, but I have had troubles getting into contact with active ones. So if you know any drag queens that are interested in being a part of my school project, hit me up.

Friday September 18
I was kind of really stressed out about Friday because I had Project FOCUS work, Daily Wildcat work and two back to back interviews to conduct with sources for my story in my Advanced Reporting class. Luckily, I got it all done flawlessly and I was ready to focus all my energy on helping Rory with his trivia night that he was hosting that night.

The trivia night was awesome, Rory put together all the questions and I mostly just managed the little party things like arranging his apartment appropriately, and making sure we had all the supplies needed. The questions were great because they covered a wide range of topics, some were more difficult than others, but none were terrible enough to riot against the quiz master. Although his strictness on answer accuracy did cause some voices to be raised.
I was on a team with Steph and Sam and we were the "* Sexy S Squad", we were in second pretty much the entire game but lost in the final question when we wagered mostly all of our points and got the question wrong. The two teams who did the worst during the regular rounds wagered the least so they ended up winning even though they also got the answers wrong. Overall, the * Sexy S Squad came in third, and I was satisfied.

After the trivia night, everyone that stayed to hang out all went to Raini and Emily's house to play Murder In The Dark and Sardines. There house is crazy cool and gets really dark so it was the perfect venue for these games. The only downside of the night was when Sam accidentally stepped on Steph's foot and it ended up bruising real bad. Steph is quite the trooper and stayed at the party until the end even though she was in a lot of pain.

Saturday September 19
Game day against NAU!
I had to wake up in the morning to conduct my last interview for my paper which went swimmingly, I had finally gotten all the information I needed to write the article (which I finished right before I started blogging, woohoo).
My family arrived in Tucson not too long after I got back from my interview. While my Dad was in a fraternity meeting, I went to Kneaders (of course) with my mom and Avery. I also introduced my mom to the new Marshalls that's near my house (she loves Marshall's and her favorite one is in Oro Valley) and I ended up getting new shoes, so that's super fun. Then we picked my Dad up from his meeting and he helped me fix one of the signal lights in my car, I can now turn right without the arrow blinking obnoxiously at my face.
My Grandparents also came to my house, we bought some KFC for everyone and talked up until it was time to go to the game.
The game was great because of how much we killed NAU. I really only paid attention to the first half, when it looked like an actual game. The second half we just kept scoring and scoring so I just danced my booty off and commentated some of the crazy situations people were in around me. A lot of the Project FOCUS students were at the game which was awesome because they always make the game a little more entertaining. On of the students named AJ (he is the one taking the selfie below) was scheduled to go to the game with Rory and Casey (the other two people in the selfie below) but AJ couldn't sit by Rory because Rory was too loud for him. If there's one thing about Rory you should know, it's that he goes hard at football games and almost loses his voice every single time.

Sunday September 20
I did my usual sinning when my family is in town, we went out to breakfast, but don't worry I still had time to go to church afterwards. Church was good, I observed many of the blossoming relationships and love triangles that are happening in the ward (winter will soon be approaching, therefore it is mormon mating season), my roommates and I also decided on our halloween costumes (sorry Amanda you weren't there, but you are apart of this also). But on the real, church was good, we discussed ways to bring lost sheep into the fold which is very important because I think we have all felt like lost sheep at times in our lives (it's not a fun feeling), so we want to do our best to make sure people do not feel neglected or not included.

Monday September 21
It's missionary Monday and I got an email from Sadie, and let me just say how freaking excited I am for her to come home in TEN DAYS! I can count that on my fingers people! I already requested that whole weekend off so it's gonna be a real party.
It was also raining like craaaazy today, like torrential people. I walked around a lot with my students as was totally soaked. I even got off early from work because I usually spend 1-4:30 with Tim, but he couldn't come to school today because of how hard it was raining and how much it was flooding (seriously people like above my ankles). I was kind of bummed because you know less hours, but I did have more time for all my homework which I finished in a timely manner I think (with the help of a red bull).

Anyway, I found this quote on pinterest the other day that I absolutely fell in love with, so I'll share it with you guys to conclude today's blog:
