1: Zach and I started dating
Easily the best decision I made in 2014, living two hours apart is the epitome of lame but he's worth it.
Enjoy this "cute" picture of us from like a week after we became official.... we don't take many pictures haha
2: Sadie left on her mission
Easily the hardest thing that happened in 2014. Saying goodbye to my best friend in April was not easy but emailing her every week suffices since she's doing such an amazing job as a missionary in Honduras! Also sending Trevor off to the same mission as Sadie was pretty awesome but also depressing.
3: California Trips
Zach took me to California TWICE this year! Once in June with Trevor to Six Flags and just last week to Disneyland.
4: UA Basketball
March Madness was INSANE and extremely enjoyable, and cause for some great pictures.
5: UA Football
An amazing season this year. I got to storm the field AGAIN, witness a hail mary, beat Oregon AGAIN, go to the fiesta bowl and more!
6: Choosing my major
Probably the most important thing I did this year was declaring journalism as my major, and I love it!
7: Spring & Winter Formal
I love love love dances and in 2014 I went to two "formals" at the institute that were a blast
8: New School Year = New Friends
I've met so many new people this year, but especially with the new school year. I love having more friends to party with, especially in Tucson because it makes the dirty T actually feel like home.
9: I went to Canada for the first time in 3 years
I haven't been able to go up the past few years because of work but since my cousin was graduating I made sure to get work off so I could go!
10: Spring Break Lake Trip
In years past I have taken multiple lake trips with Sadie and her family during the summer. Since she left on her mission before the summer, I went on one final lake trip with them over spring break and it was a blast!
11: Gilbert & Phoenix Temple Open Houses
Arizona is turing into a mini Utah with two new temples being opened in one year
12: 19th Birthday
My 19th birthday laser tag party rocked and I was surrounded by my favorite people
13: Concerts
I saw American Authors, Fall Out Boy/Paramore, Tyler Ward/Aloe Blac and they were all amazing
14: Halloween as pop princesses
I think 1320 really outdid themselves with the halloween costumes this year, it was pretty awesome
2014 was an amazing year and deserves a blog post beyond 14 fun moments, but I'm rather lazy and I'm not feeling like a longer reflection post.
New Years Eve
Yesterday was New Years Eve and guess where I went! To the Fiesta Bowl to watch Arizona play Boise State. It was a very cold day but it was spent in good company with my Dad, brothers, Lauren and Matt.
Rory, Lauren and Matt were cool cats and got their tickets on time in order to sit in the student section, while EJ, my father and I sat in the nose bleeds on the Boise State side. It was a rather disappointing game but it was still a very fun experience even with all the crazy Boise fans who were sitting around me. EJ and I tried really hard to get on the jumbo tron... we submitted the same photo three different times and we didn't get in... so disappointing... much like Anu Solomon.
After the game we went back to our house, Zach came over, we played a little Dutch Blitz, and eventually Zach, EJ, Rory and I went to the YSA event at FlipSide. I had never heard of this place before and I honestly think it's pretty cool. There is an arcade, bowling, laser tag, laser maze, a playground all for adults. The only problem was that there were SO MANY PEOPLE there, seriously very little bubble room. The line for bowling was too long and laser tag broke down, but we did manage to play a lot of arcade games and go through the laser maze. It was still a lot of fun hanging with Zach and my brothers on New Years Eve. I didn't even realize it was midnight when it hit, it took me by surprise how quickly it (and 2015 in general) came. Unfortunately I had to end the night shortly after midnight because I had work at 6 AM this morning... seriously such a buzz kill, but thank goodness for red bull.
I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and is taking the reigns of 2015!
