Halloweek

Wow what a crazy week it has been, full of many halloween related things. I seriously love this time of year, except for that fact that it is still freaking hot here in Tucson and it is officially November. I'm definitely looking forward to it cooling down this upcoming week.

So let's start with Monday!
I get home from work and Steph came into the house holding a package for me. Who was it from you may ask? My BFF Sadie. She sent me a birthday package! It made my whole day and I couldn't wait until my birthday (which is the 18th of November) to open it so I just opened it right then.
Look at all those stamps!

I wear this bracelet everyday!

There were balloons in the package and I thought that was the most hilarious thing in the world

I was a little bit happy

Monday night for FHE we carved pumpkins. I carved mine into an owl but no one in the institute was able to identify it as an owl. I guess I am just not a master pumpkin carver.

It looks more like an owl with the light

I took all the pumpkin seeds home that night (which is the bag I am holding in the above picture) to make some brown sugar cinnamon cooked seeds and they were delicious and my snack for school for the next couple days.

Tuesday was school, Wednesday was work and I can't remember if anything super fantastic happened so I will fast forward to Thursday.

In my Journalism class we got extra credit for dressing up. I wanted to do something subtle but still a noticeable costume so I decided to take a flashback to senior year of high school and the STUCO state conference and dress up as a genius bar. Easiest extra credit ever. Even easier for my journalism buddy, Tory, who just work a sign that said "nudist on strike". I didn't end up taking a photo of my costume on Thursday, so I will post one from senior year.

After school I went home and we were feeding the missionaries breakfast for dinner. It was interesting because there were two new missionaries who were on exchanges that day so I got to know them a little bit.
After dinner the roomies speedily went to the institute to meet all the other kiddos to go to Terror in the Corn! Steph and I went to this event last year with Jenkin and Amanda, so I decided I wanted to go again this year and there was a much better turn out with a total of 18 people! I don't think I was quite as scared this year but it was still scary enough for me to link arms with Annabeth the entire time.

These pumpkins were REAL!

Part of the haunted part was 3D so we had to wear these awesome glasses

All 18 of us!
After the corn we decided to go to IHOP for a late night meal. It was a ton of fun and I think I laughed a little bit too much. Great times with some great people for sure!

Friday, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! In the morning, I went to work. On Friday mornings I go with Tony to his internship at UMart. When I met up with him I didn't realize I would be working with the incredible Hulk!

I even managed to find another student, Carmen, dressed up like Dorothy!

After work I went to devotional and dollar lunch and then ran some errands to finalize the things I needed for my costume. I also helped Zach pick out his costume for work via snapchat, he was the greatest tourist known to mankind socks and sandals and all.

Then it was time to for me to get ready for halloween. The theme for the roomies this year was pop princesses. I was Ke$ha, Steph was Katy Perry, Lauren was Taylor Swift (circa 2012) and Annabeth was Lorde. I've got close ups of me and Steph because, Laurens close ups are on her camera and Annabeth wasn't with us until the dance portion of the night.

I wish these pictures would accurately depict how much glitter I was actually wearing

Later, Jared and Caroline came over and we went to chipotle for our $3 boorito and there was a Ke$ha, Katy Perry, hulk hogan, a robber (not a burglar) and T Swizzle sighting there

After Chipotle we went to the Institute dance. Before the actual dance started there were some games going on like a very confusing spy game, a mummy game, and a terrifying balloon popping game.
Caroline was our super hot mummy

I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the toilet paper

Then the dance started and I got pictures with many different people and danced my booty off!

Susannah (AKA tinkerbell) had way more glitter than I did. She had pixie dust in a little bag and threw it on top of everyone, it was so awesome!

Lorde finally joined the party and totally rocked her costume!
Steph ended up winning the costume contest, and totally deserved it, she made it all herself and put a lot of time and effort into it.
I love being in YSA and partying with all of these crazy mormons, they sure do know how to show you a fun time. Definitely one of my favorite halloweens!

After the dance was over I washed all the makeup off, unratted my hair, took a shower and then went straight to sleep.

This morning we were taking roomie pictures for our Christmas card (shout out to Isaac for always taking the photos for us). We decided to go up to Mount Lemmon, which was so perfect because it is absolutely beautiful up there. Here is a sneak peak to the photoshoot (we took a couple photos on Stephs Iphone just so we had some photos we wouldnt have to wait for)
We stopped by the cookie cabin for some GINORMOUS cookies and normal sized pizza slice. I was very impressed.
Giant chocolate chip

Very dense pumpkin cookie

We also got a peanut butter cookie but I didn't get a photo of it, it was just as ginormous, you can take my word for it.

I was very impressed with the bathroom and their cool toilet paper holder

While we were driving down we were listening to Taylor Swift's new album and it was just a fun chill experience with some good people, so I felt like I needed to take a picture of Steph driving us.

It was such an awesome halloweek! I am so exhausted and I feel like I am running on very low fuel and probably deserve a nice long nap after writing this.

Happy November everyone!
