Avery's Birthday Party

On Friday Rory and I went home to Mesa so we could celebrate Avery's birthday party on Saturday!
I woke up early Saturday morning to help decorate our house with the frozen theme. After many feet of streamers, too many balloons and lots of snowflakes the decorating process was compete. Then there was the difficult process of trying to get one normal photo of Avery for her birthday...

This picture was the only one that was decent... but it was soon followed by many more goofy pictures

You can definitely tell she's a Richardson with her inability to take a normal photo when it's most important.

After that process all of her friends started to arrive

EJ and I ran to Bahama Bucks to pick up a party pack and then to Subway to pick up some sandwiches for the children to eat. While we were gone they all made wands...

When we got back it was time to eat the subway sandwiches which my mother names "we finish eachother's sandwiches" (very clever)) and also time for the children to drink their "melted snowman juice" (which is just blue koolaid with floating carrots) as if they were dogs

We also made bahama bucks shaved ice for all the little kids and of course the big kids too

Then they played a cornhole-type game

Which soon turned into a snowball fight...
After the snowball fight Avery opened up her presents and gave everyone the most precious hugs...

Then all the kids played with all of Avery's new toys and had a dance party

Then the party ceased, the childrens parents all came to pick up their offspring and it was nap time for everyone except for Steph who was so gracious to stay up and play with Avery. After I woke up Steph headed back out to Tucson and an hour or so later Taylor and Natalie came over to celebrate Avery's happy day and watch the Arizona vs. Washington St game. I don't think I would have been able to handle watching the game with my father, Rory and Taylor watching it in one room so Zach came to pick me up and I watched it at his house. We killed wazzu which was just the cherry on top of a great day.
