The Wind Beneath My Wings

A ton of kiddos from the institute went to go see the new Meet The Mormons movie at noon. Before seeing the movie, I had absolutely zero desire to see it other than for me to have facts to support my distaste for the film. Although I do not think it is necessary to elongate I'm A Mormon ads into an entire movie, I did actually enjoy it. All the stories were very interesting and the movie was very well made. I especially liked that they even put clips from shows like South Park, The Simpsons and 30 Rock into the introduction to add a little flare into the movie and to show we don't just watch BYUtv all day. If you haven't seen the movie and/or were as pessimistic about it as I was, I think you should definitely see it, at the very least to justify your opinions.

After the movie my family came into town. I spent a little time with them before we headed to the game. McKenzie was a lucky duck once again and got to come into zonazoo with us. She used Natalie's catcard to get in but she actually ended up getting caught (they usually never look at the picture ID, they just swipe the card) but she was honest about using her friends card so they let her in for being honest. Honesty is the best policy people!
The game was pretty rough to watch, but fun to be at. Zonazoo actually stayed the entire game which was awesome and made for a fun game. We did end up losing for the dumbest reason but we are still ranked so I'm okay with that.
Here are some pictures from the night:

Project FOCUS rocks

After the game we went back to my house where we had a much smaller party for EJ with my family and some friends. Avery and my mother made cupcake for everyone and supplied some super delicious sparkling lemonade

We also all went around the room as per tradition and said something we love about EJ. We usually start out with a sarcastic comment about them but everyone loves EJ so much no one (with the exception of Rory and Kenzie) could think of anything sarcastic to say. Us Tucson homies have been very fortunate to have EJ as a bff here.
(Imagine Annabeth in the photo as well)

So today is officially my dear brother's 25th birthday and I think it's only appropriate that I blog what I posted on his wall.
This one goes out to you EJ:
It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings

You're an amazing brother and an even better friend especially since I have moved to Tucson! I hope your life is going the way you want it to go at this point in your life ;)

But on the real, I hope this year is full of amazing new adventures and I hope you soak in every moment of it!
