A Quarter Of A Century

Many of you may be aware of my oldest brother EJ. He just got a super cool job in Scottsdale so he is moving away from Tucson to do bigger and better things. He is also turning 25 (a quarter of a century). To celebrate these two super cool but also kind of sad things, we of course had a party.
EJ made it very clear that he needed to leave Tucson with a bang, and that's exactly what we did. The theme of the party was "Stuff EJ Likes" so all the decorations and foods and things all had to do with something EJ likes.

Let's start with food:
Petite Quiche

Pizza

JalapeƱo popper

Vegetarian Sliders

Creme Puffs

Maple Cake

Cupcakes

& poutine

The photos of EJ on the table were provided by Clark Wager

So the first activity of the night were challenge cards. There were ten white envelopes hidden around the house that each had a challenge on them. #10 card was the easiest and the #1 card was the most embarrassing/funniest to do. If you found a card and successfully completed the challenge you won a prize. I can't remember the rankings but here were all the challenges:
Put an ice cube in each of your pockets

Rock Steph's cheetah dress for 30 minutes

Take a shote of hot sauce

Twerk for 30 seconds

Drink a mixture of almond milk and satanic green superfood

Hug the next 5 people who walk in

Karaoke to anaconda

Perform a scene from mean girls

Write and recite a poem about EJ and the party

Make a facebook post that says:

Afterwards we watched an awesome birthday video made by Steph:

And did the birthday cupcake

Then the night moved to karaoke:

Chloe and Steph did Baby Got Back

EJ requested earlier in the week that I perform "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us" from the play Back to the Eighties from when I was a sophomore in high school. Luckily, Soukey was also in the play with me so he performed he dance as well.

Bert did My Love

Phil's song of choice was "All About That Bass"

We really explored our levels during Total Eclipse of the Heart

Rex serenaded EJ in the Canadian national anthem (Ali later joined in)

Then we took a break from karaoke with dancing and eating and mingling

Lourena taught everyone her hip hop moves

We then started a game of silent football. Things went a little crazy during this game and it's too hard to explain but here is one picture of a punishment that went down
Confused? You should be

Lauren and Josh ended up losing the game and as their losing punishment had to go around to our neighbors to ask for an egg. Apparently no one is home at 11 oclock on a friday night so the punishment was unsuccessful.

Then rest of the nigh consisted of some yoga...

We also played many rounds of Head's Up, watched some low comedy BUT HILARIOUS madtv sketches and then cleaned up and cleared everyone out.

It was a great party and great way for EJ to exit Tucson. It's going to be so weird not having him just a few blocks away from me at all times, and I honestly would rather him not leave but he's off to do bigger and better things in Scottsdale and he is going to be rockstar. Happy birthday EJ, Tucson will miss you!
