home is where the heart is

Roughly one year ago my roommate Lauren was telling me how when she was a freshman she went to Mesa just about every weekend and that year Mesa was her home, but now that she was a sophomore and friends were on missions or getting married Tucson felt like her home. When she told me this at the time I thought, I'm never going to think Tucson is my home, my family and best friends are in Mesa and they're my home. Well one year later, here I am back in Tucson, I have friends that have gotten married and friends that have gone on missions, and I can honestly say that Tucson has become my home. Although I really did enjoy this summer (truly it was one of the best), there were many times that I wished I were in Tucson partying all day and all night with the beezies and my many other friends that I made in my first year of college.
So needless to say, I am very excited to be back in my home 1320!
My momma and Avery drove Rory and me down to Tucson so we could get all moved in and so I could go to my first work meeting of the semester.
After the meeting, grocery shopping, miscellaneous shopping and dinner, I have officially unpacked all my things and all settled into this little house of mine. I must say it is much easier moving in when you aren't hauling a bunch of furniture in two separate vehicle. This time around I really only had my clothes and hygienic things to bring, everything else I left for the summer!

So far it's only Annabeth and I here and we are very eager for the other half of the apartment to arrive so the party can really start! (Ben Kevin came back to 1320 too in case you all were wondering)

School officially starts on Monday, but I only have Tuesday/Thursday classes so my school doesn't start until Tuesday. I am so dang excited for classes to start, I am especially excited to start taking my journalism classes, I know I am just going to feel right at home with this major.

Some goals for the semester:
  1. STRAIGHT A'S/ I am going to do it everybody. 4.0 semester. Racking up that GPA. So if you ever hear me talking about my social life too much remind me that I am here for school and that I should probably study sometimes.
  2. I'm going to go to all 3 hours of church/ I am VERY guilty of only going to 1-2 hours of church, but that's going to change this semester, you will see me in Sunday School and Relief Society every week Dirty T friends... and if I'm not there I better be in Mesa or on my death bed.
  3. I'm going to be better at budgeting/ I'm going to try and write out my budget every few weeks so I know exactly where I am financially. I'm also going to try and put money into my savings account every paycheck... but I don't know how successful I will be at that one.
  4. Make some new friends/ Not just from the mormon mafia but the "aliens" that aren't...Not that I don't totally love my momo's because I do more than anything. BUT I think it's time I spread my wings and fly a little deeper into the real world. Learn some new things from some new people, sounds good to me.
  5. BLOG MORE/ When I first started this blog one year ago (from yesterday) I posted quite a bit, I was always keeping you peeps updated. As the school year went on I only updated you all on the weekends and only when something actually eventful happened. So be prepared everyone for some really pointless blog posts that you probably won't even care to read.
Love you all and so excited for all the fabulous adventures ahead of me!
