Brought To Your Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue

Many people know me to be Canadian, and because I am Canadian (and proud of it) they assume I was born there. Fun fact: I wasn't. I was born on a native reservation in Ship Rock, New Mexico (Now what's more American than that?). What was the point of that fun fact? Well, Friday was Independence Day (duh) which is easily one of my favorite holidays. I don't know if it's the delicious food, the fireworks or the country music that I love the most, but I sure do love this holiday. On twitter a lot of people complain that people are only patriotic on this specific day but y'know what? At least they're being patriotic, that's what that day is all about anyway. I am very proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free... (that should be a song;) ) and very grateful to live in a country where I am free to choose my own religion, have and express my opinions, get an education and work towards a future that I dream of having! We really are one swaggy country, and no one can deny that.

So I was one of the few lucky people at Krispy Kreme that got the entire day off and I was SO stoked! Since I was off, that meant Zach, Trev, Keaton and I could go to Payson for the fun festivities that happen there every year... unfortunately the forecast said it was supposed to rain hardcore in Payson all day, I figured it probably wouldn't be the safest thing to drive the buds up to Payson early in the morning and then late at night in the rain. Instead of Payson we decided to celebrate in the much hotter Queen Creek and go to Schnepf Farms for some crazy fantastic fireworks! I had never actually gone to Schnepf for the fireworks, my family usually just watched them from afar so we wouldn't have to deal with traffic/pay to get in. But this time I decided to go and had no problem with traffic (besides trying to figure out how to enter the site I guess), so yay us!
While we were waiting for the firework show the boys passed around the football & beach ball, a little girl tried to make me disappear (I was honestly scared for my life), we ate some good ol American food, drank some good ol American water, and of course took a picture.
And here are some triply pictures of fireworks that I took

I hope everyone thoroughly enjoyed celebrating their freedom, I sure did!
