That title has no relevance to the blogpost at all besides the fact that that is what I am listening to while I am typing this...
Alright so Friday was a very long but very fun day for me. I left my house at 9:30 AM and didn't get back until 10:30-ish PM.
The morning was the usual class, devotional, dollar lunch, class. Then after class I usually go to work with the second year students in their WorkAbility class but not yesterday, instead I was scheduled with one of the first year students named Zack to plan for spring fling. After hanging out with him for two hours I met with another one of my students, Joren, to go to spring fling. For those of you who do not know Spring Fling is the largest student run carnival in the world and it just so happens to be put on by my University, and this is the first time in fifteen years that it was brought back on campus. There's a ton of rides, games and different booths with food and drinks it's awesome.
So for about an hour and half I was hanging out with Joren and we ran into other students along the way too!

After that hour-ish time I was scheduled to help another student, Shayley, with her volunteering. She's such a rockstar though, after meeting with the volunteer people and getting her assignment she didn't even want me around anymore so she could do her thing.
Once she booted me away I decided to go check out the concert area for the student band that won the "Next Big Thing"-esque contest for Spring Fling. I thought I was going to be a loner but I found my friend Andrew who was with all his architecture friends and then my homegurl Maddy came to party too and eventually EJ as well. So when I got there, I was very much in the front, by the time the headlining band came on, American Authors, I was much further back, everyone kept pushing in front of me because "they had to get to their friend", like big whoop you have to get to your friend you should've been here waiting for two hours like I was... anyway.... although I was pushed back I did have a pretty good view and I was able to get some good shots in. American Authors was suuuuuper awesome live, I totally would've paid to see them in concert, but I'm all about taking advantage of free concerts.
Around the same time the concert ended, Shayley finished her volunteering shift so EJ and I went to go hang out with her. We rode a ride called G Force... it was the most intense thing of my entire life. I struggle to describe it in person so it would be even more of a struggle to describe it via blog, so I am going to post a picture of it (not taken by me).
It's described as the rotating pendulum ride...
So EJ and I were sitting by each other and every time the ride went down we were going face first...I never screamed so much in my life, but Shayley sure did get a kick out of it.
After that ride Shayley and I went through that thing that's at the end of the Grease movie (you know in the final scene when they are singing "you're the one that I want"). Well I tried to reenact that scene but I do not apparently have the coordination to fill Sandy's shoes so I looked a little something like this...
My life long dream of becoming Sandy was crushed that night.
After that experience we waited for Shayley's dad to pick her up and then EJ drove me home. Oh, did I mention that my roommates were all camping? So yeah I was home alone that night, not really that big of a deal except for the fact that my neighbors were having a party next door and I could have sworn they were in my backyard.... But I lived through the night so all is well.
Saturday
Woke up, did my april is for abs workout (because I skipped it on Friday and Saturday was supposed to be a rest day), showered, started to blog and then my family showed up for the scrimmage game... Well really only my Dad, Grandpa and Rory went to the scrimmage game, me, EJ, Kenzie, Avery and my mother went and did other things like going to target and getting my hair dyed/cut and eating lunch.
Before I knew it the scrimmage game was over and it was time for the family to return back to Mesa... and surprise surprise I went with them! Lots of people think it's weird that I go home twice a month (and sometimes more shhhhh) but honestly I don't even care, I'm way more productive over the weekend when I am in Mesa than when I am in Tucson. Anyway, I came home on Saturday with them because it was Zachs prom, but we decided that prom didn't sound like our scene so we went on a date instead. We ended up going to my favorite restaurant, Joes Farm Grill, and waited in a forever long line (but so worth it, let me tell ya) and then we went mini golfing at golfland. I love mini golfing even though I really am no good, and Zach is really just good at everything so I thought he would kill me. He did beat me, but it wasn't much of a killing, he got 46 and 53... so clearly our scores are not top notch. But I take pride in the fact that I got three hole in ones while Zach only got one.
After partying so hard at golfland we went back to Zach's house for some hardcore netflix watching. Needless to say, that date night was better (and cheaper) than prom would have been for us, but don't worry we took super awesome totally photogenic prom pictures (by request of my mother).
Probably not the pictures my mom wanted to see but these ones more accurately depict our relationship
Now I am back in Tucson waiting to go to a fireside which Annabeth and Steph are going to be singing in! Super exciting!
Only one more week until easter
Three and half weeks of class
4 weeks until school is over
ONE MONTH TILL KENZIE IS 16 (if you have any young striking lads looking for a hot girl who looks pretty similar to me, I've got the hookups)
