Long Weekend

I think it's very convenient that UofA always starts school in the middle of the week and on a week that is right before a national holiday on the following Monday.
So yeah, it was a long weekend.
My weekend started out on Friday night. Lauren, Steph and I watched the Gilbert Temple broadcast on ABC and then went to a back to school bash/devotional thing put on by one of the University wards. We met up with all our boy friends (notice the space between the two words) ate some hotdogs and a lot of chips and then left to go get ice cream and watch White House Down at our apartment. The party included my roommates, EJ, Rory, Dakota, Matt, Andrew, Cody and Nate... As you can tell we have a lot of girl friends. I honestly didn't like White House Down very much mostly because I hate Channing Tatum, but I was very entertained by the comments made by my friends. Even though I did not love the movie it was indeed a very fun night with my favorite people.

Saturday I woke up bright and early and can you guess what I did? I went to the gym. I didn't die and I actually enjoyed it... sort of... I don't think I will ever love to work out but it is slowly becoming less miserable. After I went to the gym I came back to my apartment, took a shower, got ready and then went to lunch with Steph, EJ, Rory and my grandparents to their all time favorite restaurant Red Lobster. It was an odd day because I did not order my usual chicken wings... but don't worry all my meal did involve chicken nonetheless.
After lunch Steph, EJ and I went back to my apartment to pick people up to go to Taylor and Natalie's open house in Sahuirita. Steph and I rode with the rockstar siblings Bert and Chloe, while EJ rode with Dakota and Matt. I was probably most excited about seeing Taylor's parents because they live in Utah and they are my new favorite people in the whole world. The party was rather chill with some crazy moments on the Joost's trampoline.

After the little party Steph and I went back to the apartment and watched a little bit of Miss Congeniality before we went to hang out with our homegirl Sanahin. I loved her house, there were so many paintings and carpets everywhere and her mom was so sweet. We went to Sauce and ate some delicious Boston Cream Pie from AJs, which is probably my favorite fancy marketplace in the whole world, I didn't even know they had an AJs here in Tucson but apparently I was wrong. Ali joined the party later too! It was a rockin girls night needless to say.

Sunday I woke up early yet again to do a photo shoot for Steph! Her Dad wanted a birthday gift that was a U of A themed picture of her for his office in China. We started off the photo shoot in downtown Tucson to get a picture next to a cool Tucson mosaic. Annabeth wanted in on the run too

And of course I took a selfie with the mosaic

Then we went over to the campus to take pictures.

The rest of the pictures are on facebook if you want to check them out!
I felt pretty awesome because we did this all before church with some time to spare.
Church was good, there were a few new people so that was exciting. There was linger longer after church featuring pancakes and some orange flavored water.

Later on Sunday, Cody came over and we watched a crap ton of Man V. Food episodes and then had a jam session with Stephs guitar. Steph even wrote individual songs about Lauren, Cody, me and herself. They were pretty hilarious and all of them involved farting in one way or another. At midnight we went on a run to in n out because of all the food we were watching people eat on the tv.

This morning I woke up and was super stoked because there was no school! I went to the bookstore to finally buy my final textbook and then went to my brothers apartment so we could go pick up a TV from my grandparents. They even treated us to In N Out.... so yes I went to in n out twice in one day. The rest of my day was dedicated to doing homework/reading/watching videos for school while working on Sadie's birthday card for Saturday. Somehow 7 o'clock rolled around so we went to FHE and talked about goals and the things we do everyday that either help us with our goals or distance ourselves from them. Then Steph treated me with some awesome Cold Stone, she's the bomb. Now we are at the apartment watching the Bachelor with our Bachelor buddy Matt.

I am both excited and dreading school tomorrow. I have finally realized that my winter break is over... But so many adventures are ahead of me so I'm excited.
