Winter Haven

Yesterday was my free day! Absolutely no finals. I did what every other person would do on their free day, I went to Taco Bell. I discovered that they have a new mountain dew there, but it's not top notch. After taco bell I went to the medical library to hang out with Steph Luc while she studied, might sound boring to most people, but she provided one of my favorite candies for me, shockers.
Afterwards I went home and Natalie came over to hang out. We watched a little bit of Grease and then we went to chipotle! Then we went to FHE!

For FHE 3rd ward and 5th ward combined to go to Tucson's famous Winter Haven.

For all of you who do not know what winter haven is, it's a neighborhood in which all the houses inside are required to decorate their houses in some holiday themed decor, if they don't they get fined. It's pretty cool though because all the street names are Christmas related names like Christmas, Treat, Candy Cane etc...

It was my first time going to Winter Haven and I didn't really know how cool it would be but I would say I was thoroughly impressed by a lot of the houses. It's pretty hard to describe how they look so I will just post pictures.

After walking around the neighborhood we went back to the institute for some hot chocolate, and then Lauren and Steph went to Cold Stone for some ice cream.

Today was the day of my final final (HALLELUJAH). But it wasn't until 3:30. The beginning of my day consisted of sleeping in, then watching the How I Met Your Mother from the night prior, then going to safeway, then going to Chick Fil A, then going to the institute, and then going to 7 11 to get shockers/gatorade. And finally my final arrived. I finished my final at exactly 3:52 PM which meant that I finished my first semester of University! I am so excited that it is over and that I get to go home and that Rory is going to be home and just holiday excitement in general. 

Tonight the roomies and I went to Native New Yorker for wing night and to play trivia. I was doing pretty well in trivia and then it all started to go down hill, oh well. Still a fun time. I did get 3rd... out of 5.

 After Native we went to a Christmas party which had a lot of delicious little treats that I would have been all over if I hadn't eaten so much. There was a mistletoe at the party which caused a lot of talk... I don't think I actually saw anyone kiss on the lips under it though... typical mormons.... ;)

Next item on the agenda is to go see Anchorman 2 at midnight, I am so excited I have been waiting for this movie for a long time!

Tomorrow I go home to Mesa to pick up Rory from the airport, I AM SO DANG EXCITED. I've been posting on twitter that he is coming home and it's funny because some girls were confused and thought he was my boyfriend that I have been waiting for... thats rather awko taco considering he is my brother. I'm also not even waiting for a missionary, silly girls.
