I am so close to finishing my first semester of university I can just taste it.
Wednesday was the last day of classes at the University, very exciting. In order to celebrate the last day of classes EJ, Taylor, Dakota and I went to the basketball game against NMSU. At the start of the game I had a little bit of doubt ( I know I know how dare I doubt the number 1 team in the nation ) but there was a player on the opposing team that was SEVEN FEET 5 INCHES TALL. He was literally towering over our players... very intimidating. Luckily, his height did not necessarily mean he was a basketball star... but he was very good at blocking. Nonetheless Arizona came out on top with some amazing plays.
Thursday was dead day but I didn't get to do much sleeping in because I had work at 9. Work was pretty chill though because I just helped students study for their upcoming exam. Plus 2 out of the 6 hours that I worked were at a work party where we celebrated the success of the semester with my fellow peer mentors and the students we work with. The party was very chill as well, but there was free pizza so that was definitely a bonus, I also got to watch a lot of my students get down on the dance floor.

I made sure to snap some pictures with one of my favorite students, Shayley. She makes my day everyday. She calls me Sneezy because she can never remember my name and I was sick the day she decided I needed a nickname. I felt like she needed a nickname too so I call her Shneezy.
The rest of Thursday I sat on my couch studying for my two finals that were the next day. I spent probably about 6 hours sitting on that one spot on the couch... but in all honesty I probably only spent half of that time studying between facebook, twitter, phonecalls from friends and Steph serenading Lauren and I with her guitar.
On Friday I had my first final at 10:30 AM for my anthropology class. This is the one class that I worry about my grade in so I was stressing about this exam. I am still waiting for my final grade but I hoping for the best! I am really just happy I am done with that class.
The rest of my Friday was me sitting on that same spot on the couch studying for my french final. Scratch that, I did also take my online linguistics final. I love online finals because they give you your grade right away... I am so happy because I finished that class with an A! A high A nonetheless...
On the other hand, let me tell you why I hate french, as if you all needed another reason to understand why I hate it. My final for this class was at EIGHT THIRTY PM on a freaking Friday night. I don't know whose cruel idea that was, but I really do not appreciate the decision that was made by them. Before the exam Steph and Lauren dropped me off at the student union so I could eat dinner and study a little more and really to get out of my apartment. I arrived at my exam room an hour early but I didn't mind because it was a quiet place for me to study and calm myself down. Unfortunately I do not feel so confident about that test.... hopefully I got a good grade. But the only good thing about that final is that it is now over. Only one more semester of french everyone!
After my final I walked back to my apartment, which was a tad bit sketchy walking around my neighborhood at 10 o'clock at night... I come home to a party of people in my house watching scary movies. I stayed up a little bit longer to watch WWZ with the party kids but eventually I was so tired of the day that I just took a shower and went to sleep.
Which leads us to today! Today was Natalies bridal shower! The roomies and I went early to the shower to help Nat set up/prepare food.
The shower was super fun, and props to Natalies friend Justine for putting together all the fun games and activities that went on throughout the shower. My favorite person at the shower (besides Natalie of course) was a little girl named Phoebe. Actually let me tell you her middle name as well... her name is Phoebe Rachel... that one is for all you Friends fans out there. We asked her mom if the show had any influence on the name but it didn't. I loved Phoebe because of her mad drawing skills and her alphabet skills. I especially love her because of a comment she made while Natalie was opening a present from Phoebe and her mother. Before Natalie could open the gift, Phoebe told her what was inside. The first gift she told her had measuring cups, and the second gift had a little apron. Let me show you what the little apron was...
That my friends is not a little apron... but it got everyone cracking up!
There were lots of other little aprons that Natalie got, which made the joke even better.
I won the clothespin game. Everyone started out with one clothespin and every time you heard someone say wedding, love or Smith you took their clothespin.
One game was that we had to describe what Natalie was wearing while she was not in the room. This is Stephs very detailed description of Natalies outfit.

Overall it was a very fun party and I am super excited to go to Utah to see Natalie marry Taylor!
Now I have the rest of the day to just rest from my intense Friday filled with 3 different finals. My next and last final isn't until Tuesday so I have a few days to rest!
