This is Halloween

It's the start of my favorite time of the whole year. Halloween officially starts off the holiday season for me. I was super excited for this halloween this year, since it would be my first halloween in Tucson. This year the roommates and I were the cheetah girls! We were all assigned a specific cheetah girl, I was Chanel (the Latina one), Steph was Galleria (Raven), Annabeth was Dorinda (the white foster child that dances really well) and Lauren was Aqua (the southern black girl that likes hot sauce).

So back up to Wednesday. I went to the church building to help set up for the carnival/dance that was going to happen there on Friday. Most of my time was either dedicated to helping Traylssa McVigil come up with their couples costume or cutting out 200 bats with Ali. Ali and I are pretty much professional at cutting out bats, and we probably made 200 bats in record timing.

On halloween day Steph, Annabeth and I dressed up in our costumes to go get $3 chipotle! If you haven't already noticed, we are kind of obsessed with Chipotle and getting things discounted or for free there, so we were very excited about this trip to Chipotle! We got to see a lot of... interesting costumes at chipotle. Tucson is definitely... interesting.
After we got chipotle, we picked up EJ to go to an ice cats game! Not to my surprise, the arena was practically empty besides the 15 people we were there with. It wasn't that great of a hockey game, I mean college hockey just isn't the same as going to a Coyotes or Flames game... also the score was 8-0 so there wasn't much competition there. Even though the game was not very intense, it was still a blast hanging out with all my friends and taking many pictures.

This night was also the start of my journey of becoming Steph Luc's best friend on snapchat. We snapchatted each other AT LEAST 100 snap chats before we finally became best friends on Friday.

Also after seeing this pictures, I think it is time for a hair dye.
After the hockey game, some of us went back to the apartment to watch a halloween movie. I didn't stay up very late since I am such an angel student and I wanted to be awake for school the next day.

So the next day rolls around and I attend one of my discussion classes, and afterwards I head over to the institute to be a bachelorette in the dating game they were playing for devotional. The way it worked was the were three bachelorettes and one bachelor (or in reverse if there was one bachelorette, there were three bachelors), we were all asked two questions and then the bachelor chooses the person they liked the most and then they were supposed to take the winner on a date to one of the many YSA activities that were happening that weekend. To make the game a little more interesting, we had to disguise our voices... I disguised mine as a valley girl... which probably explains why I didn't win... But it was a super fun experience and it was even more entertaining listening to my brother be a German bachelor. My brother also ended up winning and got a date with a girl named Kenna.

Then there was dollar lunch, as usual. After dollar lunch I went with Natalie to go thrift shopping so she could complete her halloween costume. In my opinion, Natalie and Taylor had the best couples costume known to man. Taylor was Barney Stinson and Natalie was Robin Sparkles (if you do not know who these people are, I suggest some life evaluation). In order to complete Natalies costume she needed a jean skirt and some "90s" jewelry, lucky for us goodwill had both and we even got a necklace half off... super exciting.

After shopping I came back to the institute to chill for a little bit before I had to go to class. This is what chilling looks like.
After my weather class, I went out to dinner before the halloween dance with Natalie, Taylor, Steph Luc, Dakota and Matt at Native New Yorker. From this experience I learned that I am bomb at trivia questions and if there was a career in answering trivia questions correctly, that was the path that I should take. I also learned that it is hard to eat wings gracefully, like my sister claims Natalie does. Here is my attempt...
I'll get there someday.
After dinner, Natalie, Steph and I headed over to Taylors apartment to get ready for the dance. Once we were in our costumes we headed over. Once I was at the dance I met up with my other fellow cheetah girls so we could paint cheetah print on our faces... and I must say we were looking pretty fierce.

Before the actual dance started there was a carnival going on throughout the church. My favorite carnival rooms were the Just Dance room and the Karaoke room... Here is a photo of Steph and I jamming out to How Do I Live Without You
Needless to say, we take our karaoke very seriously.

The dance was definitely the best part of the night. It was my first YSA dance and I was not disappointed. There's nothing I love more than dancing like no one is watching and not even caring what everyone else thinks. I got solid dances in with some pretty great dudes and learned that I am a terrible girl because I always want to lead... oh well.
There was a pile of haystacks, so of course the cheetah girls would use them as an advantage to dance upon, so everyone could see us.

After the dance we had an after party at EJs apartment. We were all pretty exhausted so it was not a bumping after party but it was still fun running across the street to 7-11 and what not.
Here is my homegirl Natalie and I being full of swag at our after party.

So somehow Saturday morning rolled around and the roomies and I were all running a little low on sleep, but we got up and got ready to go do something super top secret... The only hint I'm allowed to give are each of our profile pictures on facebook.

After our top secret mission, we went out to lunch with EJ, Isaac, Rex and Matt.

I love my roomies even though it may not look like it in the second picture... it's just mine and Stephs relationship in a nutshell.

After lunch we came back to the apartment and cleaned the crap out of it because it was getting a little out of control... I didn't even want to be in the apartment it was so dirty. With solid teamwork we were able to get it done in under an hour and our apartment is now tolerable.

Then there were a couple of resting hours/errand running hours.

This is Steph being a hottie and cleaning her car.

After some errands Steph, Annabeth and I got ready to go to the Kenneth Cope concert. Before the concert there was a catered dinner... and what else would I end up doing at dinner than snapchat Steph and Grace...

After dinner we headed over to the auditorium for the concert... now in general for concerts you want to be up front and as close as possible to the person you are seeing... but my friends and I were just too cool for that so we sat up on the balcony. I had never heard of Kenneth Cope previously so I didn't know any of his songs, but it was a good concert nonetheless... He was pretty hilarious... but usually when he wasn't trying to be funny. His songs were really good and really inspiring, I now understand why everyone loves him so much.
After the concert there was an ice cream bar which was absolutely amazing and then we went back to the apartment with a few other people to watch a movie and eat pizza provided by Matt.

On Sunday we went to church, which was probably the greatest testimony meeting I have ever been in. Then after church Steph and I went to visit Natalie at the hospital, since she had gotten in a car accident the night before. I am so grateful she is okay and alive and well and only has very minor injuries... Drunk drivers really grind my gears.
After we went to the hospital Steph Lauren and I went to the CES Devotional, which of course had ice cream at the end provided. Then after the devotional Zac came over for an after-devotional-party full of farting videos, horoscopes, repeated questions and story telling.

Needless to say it was a jam packed week/weekend, but it was tons of fun and definitely one of my favorite weekends thus far.
