Welcome to the Tute

Yesterday was the "New to the Tute" party. In normal words that means welcome to the institute all you freshman. This ice cream party was meant for all the new people that were coming to the institute but I am convinced that the minority at this party was the new people. At this party I ate a lot of ice cream, socialized with some familiar faces and met a lot of new people. The highlight of the institute party was the game we played entitles "Rock". Let me tell you it is the most intense game of my entire life and rather confusing unless you are actually playing so I am not going to take the time to explain it to all you readers of my blog. Unfortunately I am not very skilled at this game, at least for the first round. Actually I would like to take that back because I was positioned very poorly during the game and the people in front of me always found a way to get me out. Nonetheless I became a "rock" very quickly in the first round. And when you become a rock in this game it is very likely that people will run into you and people got VERY close to running into me, so close I honestly think it would have been better if they actually ran into me. But in the second round I did much better and lasted much longer in the game. Before this school year ends I am determined to be the best rock player at the institute, and know all the ways to sabotage the people coming after me. Here are some pictures from the game of rock and the institute party.
I am the center attention of this photo and I hope my movement is only a small testament to how intense this game really is.
Steph and I were matching.
Totally not on purpose... it's not like we share the same room or anything.

This man photobombing our picture is Brother Bauer (b-ow-er).
He calls me Cindy.
So I call him Brother B-oh-er
Although I think being called Cindy is a step up from being referred to as EJs sister at the institute all the time.

This oh so lovely picture is me portraying how a true rock is.
I am clearly the best rock you have ever seen.

And this is Steph portraying her interpretation of a rock.

Also today was my official first day of work! I spent most of my shift with a student named Joran! And he is really awesome, he always has something to talk about and a lot of fun stories to tell me. I am really looking forward to meeting all the other students.

Tomorrow is the first football game of the year! I am so excited. I have gone to a plethora of Arizona football games but this will be my first year being in the ZonaZoo! I am so stoked! I am also very excited to see my family tomorrow, mainly Avery. It's always so sad talking to her on the phone because she always tells me to come home. Makes me tear up every time.

Other than all that, not much has been happening besides school. And school is... school. Homework is the worst, I am just so lazy. Hopefully I will get better at being determined to do my work!
