Syd Rich: Every Down Bear Down

Tonight was the first football game of the season against NAU. I have been to many Arizona football games but none of them compare to sitting in the student section called the ZonaZoo! Luckily, we have been getting nice weather here in Tucson and it rained the entire game! It was raining so hard that I got drenched but it was very nice and cooled me off a ton. The game was a ton of fun being surrounded by high energy students that don't make fun of you for singing way off key or dancing like a maniac... or at least most people didn't judge. There were a couple of girls in front of us that were not shy with their dirty looks toward us. But we all had fun so it doesn't really matter.

As I said before we played NAU, so it was pretty obvious that we were going to win. The intense part of the game was whether or we were going to get our free tacos! (For everyones information if we score 33 points everyone at the game gets free tacos from Jack in the Box) Luckily in the fourth quarter we finally got to 33 points and earned ourselves some free tacos! But... we didn't actually go get the tacos because my fabulous mother bought snacks for the "after-party" at our apartment.

Oh yeah! My family came for the football game, or at least my dad came for the game now that he has season tickets and the rest of the family and mckenzies friend Audrie came along just for a fun road trip. Audrie is Sadie (my best friend)'s sister. So even though Audrie was not Sadie it was nice to have someone related to her here. It was also very nice seeing my family even though I hadn't seen them for a solid two weeks. Especially Avery, I miss that girl more and more when I am away from her. She is definitely the life of this after party. Goodbyes with my mother are always a little difficult but we always seal the goodbyes off with the McLeod two hand wave.
