I'm So Behind

Fun fact: the trick to getting blog views is apparently getting engaged... who would have thought haha.

Holy crap has life been busy since I last blogged... I went from pretty much having all the free time in the world to have... very little. Hence the reason that I have gone just about two weeks without blogging. But I am here don't you worry, ready to update you on all the new things in my life and then to provide you with some pictures because I don't really feel like typing a lot.

First things first I got the job I mentioned in a previous post! AHH! I started on Monday and it's definitely a transition going from waking up at 10 am everyday to 6:30. I am sure I will get back in the swing of things soon. I am really enjoying it so far. The first few weeks of a new job are kind of insane and stressful, but I haven't completely combusted yet so I would say the first week was a success. I work 8-4:30 pretty much everyday... which is nothing compared to my work/school days this past year, but for some reason that just seems like a really long time now lol. Working full time.. what a concept.
One of the bonuses of this job is that it's super close to where Zach is going to school, so we get to go to lunch together every now and then! We are seeing a lot less of each other now that I'm working, so I will take any time I can get. The best bonus is that I actually get paid so I can pay for that thing that's coming up this year... oh yeah a wedding haha.

Second things second my brackets are so busted in March Madness. Obviously this was an important point to make... that's why it's second. I started off fairly strong in the first round and held on okay in the round of 32... but that Sweet 16 killed me... and broke my heart. There are few things in this world that I am as emotionally attached to as Arizona Basketball, so that loss was definitely tough. I am however thrilled that Wisconsin lost (they're my mortal enemies forever) and as much as I like to back the PAC , I am happy UCLA lost as well lol. But yeah, my brackets are busted and I will never win any money.

Third things third, Zach and I (as of today) have an official wedding date. So pull out your planners and calendars and make sure that Saturday September 23 is etched into it! I'm not joking when I say this WILL be the greatest party I will ever throw in my life. And for all my Tucson peeps you might recall that September 23, 2016 is currently holding the record for the best party ever with that Disco Party the Beezies threw... so be prepared. We called the Mesa temple and settled the date that sounded best and WE TOTALLY LUCKED OUT and got an entire venue that was open that day as well. Seriously, I am so thrilled and too excited to even type this out. Just look forward to it people, it's going to be dope.

Fourth things fourth, I went to an excellent bachelorette party for Diana who is getting married in May! Diana is honestly so amazing and her bachelorette party was definitely a reflection of who she is. The best part was the fashion show... but I guess I shouldn't talk about that on a public blog... all I can say is (and excuse my language) DAAYYYUUUMMM. Here are a few appropriate photos of the evening:

Fifth things fifth, my last hoorah before I started work was going to California with Zach's family for the last portion of their spring break. Zach and I drove with Thane on Thursday while the rest of the family had been partying it up in Disneyland the whole week. We watched a lot of basketball during the weekend, went to the beach, hung out with Pam's family, played lots and lots of games and ate lots of great food. Pam's family is super awesome, and have always treated me like I was part of their family, so I am always happy to make a trip to California to see them! The one thing I learned from this trip is to never trust Apple Maps... Heres some photos from our final day:

Sixth things sixthhhhhh, I was super privileged to escort Steph through the temple for her endowment. She was seriously a PRO and was way more excited than anxious of nervous. It was so awesome the go through with her and for her to be surrounded by so many awesome people. Her bff Dallin and his mom came from California to be there for her (even though they thought it was in Tucson instead of Gilbert lolol) and Lauren and her mom came too! Seriously such an amazing time and I felt so lucky to be Steph's "Mom" even if the temple workers were confused that I was the one escorting her.

It was craaazy dusty when we got back outside, but it made the temple look super cool!

Seventh things seventh. I am indeed still doing photography even though I have a real job... I can take all the money I can get really. And I was privileged to take Maddie's senior photos out at Lost Dutchman State Park. It was an awesome time!

Well that' s just about the jist of my life right now. If I am not at work, I am either sleeping or looking at wedding pinterest boards. If anyone knows of any good caterers or DJs in the valley ... that's my next hunt, so let me know if you have any recommendations.

Happy almost April everybody!

  1. 1. So happy Wisconsin lost too!!! HATE THEM
    2. Yay for the wedding date! I wrote it down ;)
    3. A lady in my home ward has a catering business if you want her number. :) She does weddings all the time, so she should be fairly priced.
