21st Night of September

Monday September 19
When I wrote my last post on Monday and I said that it was the Monday-est of Mondays. But the day actually turned around after I published my post. My first class got cancelled woooo AND I went to Costa Vida for a late lunch with Kenzie, Kara, Deezus and Brittany.
The magical thing about having friends now is that I am always doing something... the sad thing about having friends is that I just spend so much money doing things. But you know it's okay, because #friendship is important.
After lunch I was able to convince Deezus to take all of 1320 beezies out on dates. Apparently he's been planning it all along, but I just made it happen. He already went on a date with Kenzie (even though it is unclear if it truly was a date or not), then he was going to take the rest of us out over the next couple weeks. He's the coolest person around and has planned the greatest dates personalized to each of our personalities and interests. Jenny had her date on Thursday, I believe that I am this week, and he is saving the best for last with Steph the week after.
In the evening I had my design class, which is such a struggle to sit through, so I always make sure to finish my work super early so I can leave early and go to FHE. At FHE on Monday they were playing some sort of get to know you kick ball game (but really it was kickball and you just had to say your name every time you did something). I came late so I just stood on the defense team the entire time doing nothing but being social. After FHE Caroline, Rory, Ryan, Jenny and myself walked to Chipotle so Jenny could get some dinner... the rest of us didn't get anything, we were just along for the ride.

Tuesday September 20
At Dollar Lunch Jenny, Andy and I planned the most epic road trip of life that is 200% going to happen in the summer of 2017. For those of you who might not know, my new goal of life is to go to all the national parks in the United States. So for this road trip we are going to be going to a 11 national parks all along the west coast (Death Valley, Yosemite, Redwood, Crater Lake, Mt Reineer, Glacier, Yellowstone, Teton, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion). The bad news is that this trip is going to be quite time consuming and quite expensive. The good news is that I will have a big girl job with real big girl money to pay for it. So be ready people. Summer 2017. Big things are happening.

After planning what could be the most exciting trip of my life, I went to what could have been the most boring City Council meeting of my life for class. I got there a little bit late so I missed a lot of information from the most scandalous topic (widening Broadway) and got stuck with writing about the least contentious topic (donation stations for the homeless disguised as parking meters).

After the city council meeting I went in to work at the wildcat and I was super speedy fast got out just in time to go to Taco Tuesday with the Naked Strippers at Rubios.

After Taco Tuesday we drove over to visit Diana at Chick Fil A since she was working and couldn't attend Taco Tuesday. She hooked us up with some free ice creams, and a single lemonade slush that we all shared because #friendship.

Wednesday September 21
Happy 21st of September, I hope you spent the night dancing the clouds away
On Wednesday I had my usual work, institute and class. Afterward I went to walmart with Kenzie and Deezus to buy some jewels to bedazzle Deezus' jacket for the 70s party. We ran into Steph coincidentally while we were there (thanks to Find My Friends). Deezus came over afterward so Steph could help him bedazzle his jacket, and then he partied with the 1320 beezies for pretty much the rest of the day. I discovered that he really does not enjoy being the subject of snapchats, even though he is arguably the best person to take snapchats of.
I had to leave during the party fun time to go to Budget at the Daily Wildcat. But the party only got more popping when I got back because Jenny and Kenzie were home.
The five of us decided that it would be a great idea to do a MASH for everyone in the naked strippers (you know that one game you played with your friends in elementary school to predict everyones futures). The most important takeaways of the evening were that Travis has a million wives (but I am his only true wife because although 5 girls got Travis in their MASH's, he got me in his) and McKenzie is a stay at home mom married to Travis who is a stay at home dad and they have 0 children (makes sense). Now Travis and Andy both have 6 wives, and many of them are the same.
Shout out to the Beezies +Deezus for doing all the writing in MASH, it gets really exhausting when you have to do it for 30 million people.

Thursday September 22
I didn't work on Thursday at Project FOCUS so I decided to bombard a source for one of my articles that I have been trying to get ahold of forever. The source: Mountain Oyster Club. This place is pretty much the center of my story, and it was very important that I got a few sources from the place to talk about it. I dressed up all fancy in my nice professional business clothes, ready to be aggressive and get some interviews... and of course it failed miserably. Nobody wanted to talk to me, and they said absolutely no video or photos.... life is just never easy. So I am going to have to rework my story a little bit.
After being rejected a lot I decided to leave and go to the mall to see if I could exchange my overalls for a smaller size for the 70s party on Friday but they didn't have the same kind (you will find out later why it was a good thing I didn't end up going with a smaller size).
Then I had my class, and I did NOT fall asleep, it was miraculous. We have current news quizzes each week, and one of the articles we were assigned to read had one of my photos from the summer at the Star as the leading photo, so I guess you could say I am pretty fancy. Tessa gave me a shout out in class, it was a good time.
After class I went to work at the Wildcat. It was a fairly easy night. Now that there is a new deadline to have everything in by 6 pm, I get out super early, which I definitely don't have a problem with. When I was walking back to my car I found this poor guy who was changing his tires in the parking lot. As an expert of changing tires I decided to help him out (I only held a flashlight for him haha) and he told me that he had run over the spikes at the exit of the institute parking lot.... poor guy. The sad thing is that he was an uber driver trying to find the person he was supposed to pick up and that person wasn't even at the institute. Poor poor guy.
I spent the rest of the night starting to clean our living room for the party on Friday and also practicing the hustle (because my priorities put dancing over homework).
Friday September 23
The day we have all been waiting for

It was very difficult to focus on anything other than my excitement for the 70s party.
I had work, it was good. I went to free lunch at the institute it was good. Clearly I can't remember anything, I was just too excited for the party.
Kara, Abby and I watched Grey's Anatomy at my house after free lunch. Kara is amazing and watches all the same shows as me, and her and Abby have cable at their house, so I already know where I am going to be spending my Thursday nights. After the episode, Abby and I went to Wal Mart with Deezus to get some food for the party. Abby found a minions onesie while she was there and got a little bit too excited about it.

After our Wal Mart trip I took Abby back to her car so she could make her pizza muffins for the party. Then Deezus and I went to go hunting for the perfect rocks to make the pet rock prizes for the party. Deezus had really low standards for rocks and wanted to be done super fast, but I had very high standards so it took us a solid twenty minutes to find 6 of the most perfect Tucson rocks to make pet rocks out of. When we got back to my house he started playing League with his little boy friends, while Kenzie, Steph and I made the pet rocks.

Eventually Trevor (Trap Queen) showed up and helped us set up the party, and then it was time to get ourselves ready for the party... AND THEN IT WAS TIME TO PARTY.

For those of you who haven't been reading for awhile. 1320 Beezies come back party of the year was a "21st Night of September Party on the 23rd of September" it was 70s themed and it was amazing.
We had various activities like 70s trivia, a costume contest, 70s karaoke, a giant dance party, what if and silent football. Now that Rory lives next door we decided it would be best to extend our party into their house as well. So we did all the activities in my house and then put all the food in Rory's house. It was really genius because it got so freaking hot in my house, we definitely needed a place for people to cool down. Usually for our parties we get around 30 people saying they are going on Facebook and then more people will trickle in. THIS party we had 55 people saying they were going and even more trickled in. This was easily our biggest and grandest party yet.

Now I am just going to post some photos from the party and then add some commentary in between because I don't think my spelling errors will do this party justice.

Steph's super fabulous cupcakes that she made for the party

I think we all need to appreciate Deezus' Marvin Gaye costume

Also how great is this backdrop that Steph came up with for the party?
1320 goes hard

Jenny's one request for this party was that boys wear short shorts. Andy and Queston were among the solid number of boys in shorty short shorts

I was SO psyched that the fam made their way down to the dirty T for the party! Aint no party like a fam party for sure. Sadie and Parker were also our married couple of the evening aka the chaperones

Caroline was the Donna to my Jackie

Marcus channeling his inner Willy Wonka, and it was amazing!

Andy's one request from the party was that all the males grew out their mustaches. Travis' mustache journey became quite the phenomena among the Naked Strippers. He sent us a picture of the progression every day and he called it the "Travy Stachy tracker." This was the final result, and I think we can all agree that it's amazing.

I'm never going to get over how good Jenny looked at this party. 70s girl AF

Travy was the winner of the 70s trivia, so this is him with his new pet rock

After trivia we taught everyone how to do the hustle, because you seriously cannot have a 70s party without a giant hustle dance

Then we started the 70s karaoke contest. The 1320 beezies started the party off with none other than "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire

Next up was Harrison & Diana (AKA Dianason) with "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder

Then these short short hotties took the stage with "Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate

Alma and Diana were up next with "I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5

Abby and Carly continues the Jackson 5 party with ABC

Then Maddy finally decided on a song (Somebody to Love by Queen) and a lot of people joined in with her

Then the Naked Stripper Boys (plus Queston and Sam) blessed our lives with "Hooked on a Feeling"

And the ladies rebuddled with "Dancing Queen" by ABBA. I have never felt so much girl power in my life performing this song with all these ladies.

Although all the performances were great there really wasn't any competition with Queston and Andy's performance, so they won the pet rock

Ruthy and Rudy won the costume contests

Carly had a genius idea to take a giant group shot. Go ahead and count all the people in this photo and then add at least ten, THAT'S how many people came out to party. To say this was our best party yet is honestly such an understatement.

I stopped taking photos after this giant group photo, but afterward we played Silent Football (Andy killed it as mr. commissioner) and it was a blast.... what wasn't a blast was licking the bottom of Andy's shoe for losing the game (I 100% blame Deezus for me losing). Then we played a lot of rounds of What If, and then the party ended.

Saturday September 24
And that's when the after party began. Around 12:30 we had a ceremonial farewell to the Travy Stachy that we have all grown so fond of for the past couple weeks. Each member of the Naked Strippers got to pluck a single hair from his mustache (my idea) while Candle In The Wind played in the background. Then Travy straight razored the mustache.... cut himself a few times... and then used a regular razor for the rest.

It was quite an emotional time for all of us. Now Travy looks naked all the time. It was a good run.

One might think that the after party ended after that ceremony... but no.
Sadie, Parker and Trevor were all staying the night at my house so they obviously stuck around. But Andy, Abby, Kara, Deezus and Jeremy all stuck around for quite a long time... until 6 am to be exact. You might be wondering... what the heck Sydney how did your party last until 6 am, and how did you even stay awake that long? And honestly... I have no idea... it was a weird night, and I just can't even begin to describe everything that went down, so I'll give the cliff notes version.
It was midnight and we were shaving off the stache.
And then it was 2 am and McKenzie crashed on Ben Kevin.
And then all of a sudden it was 3 am and Jenny, Andy, Abby and Deezus were doing a massage line.

And then Kara crashed and then the massage liners started spooning. And Sadie and Parker crashed.
And then all of a sudden it was 4 am and we decided to go to McDonald's for some burgers and fries... but 4 am is considered morning for most people so they only had breakfast items... total let down. Jenny, Andy and I had to ride in the trunk so we could fit everyone in Steph's car, and I got called a brave little toaster because I radiate heat... so that was a thing hahaha.

And then all of a sudden it was 5 am and Andy and Deezus tried on my overalls. And then Andy somehow got out of my overalls, and Trev tried them on afterward. Deezus on the other hand wore my overalls for the rest of the party (this is why it was a good thing that I didn't exchange them).

And then all of a sudden it was almost 6 am so we went up on our roof to watch the sunset because #friendship.

I honestly have no idea how we did this, but it happened. And this is college. Actually probably my first all nighter.

Everyone left at 6, and the beezies went to sleep. I woke up again at 9:30 because Sadie, Parker and Trev were awake. So if you're a math whiz then you know I only got 3 hours of sleep that night... and I didn't even take a nap later in the day.
Sadie and Parker eventually left to go to the Ostrich farm over by Picacho, because they're super cute and go on cute Arizona adventures and blog about it. It's amazing. Go to their blog.
Steph, Kenzie and I went to go watch Jenny, Andy, Diana, Queston and Deezus in their dodgeball game at the rec center, so we had Trev lock up the house after he attempted to wake himself up more before he went back home.
The dodgeball game was a fundraiser for the architecture school which Andy and Queston are a part of, the other three just volunteered because the "Bitchin' Ballers" were short a few players. They did really good the first round and won (98% of that win is because of Andy) but the other 4 games the other teams realized that Andy was the only truly solid player on the team so they all ganged up on him and got him out early. But I must say Diana was the best dodger on the team and Jenny was the best at holding the balls. It was a grand time all around even though our team failed.

Afterward we went to go visit Abby at work and brought her a bunch of forks since she forgot some with her mac and cheese.
Major props to Abby for going to the after party and staying up until 6 am and then going to work just a few short hours later. She's the true MVP.

Afterward the beezies went to Chipotle for lunch. Steph took a little nap. I worked on some Wildcat work. Kenzie went to the bookstore. AND THEN IT WAS TIME FOR THE GAME! We were up against Washington ( a ranked team ) and I was expecting us to get slaughtered (such an optimist, I know), and although we did not win it was one heck of a game. If there's any way to lose, that's the way to lose it. Plus it was a bangin' good time with all my momo's sending good spirits to the football players, yelling Hail Mary at the team throughout the entire game (ahem Travis), of course doing our new favorite cheer: the cat nips/kitty titties, and dancing our little booties off. I live for college football nights and my friends.
I also want you all to know that Deezus wore my overalls to the game... that's right, he wore my overalls home and then kept them for the game. What a crazy crazy kid. But honestly he rocked them better than I ever could, so it's all fine.
Partially from being tired, and partially from being so dedicated to saving seats, this is how Steph and I saved seats on Saturday night. It was probably our most successful seat saving experience. McKenzie needs a little more training, but she will get there.

If you're amazed that I made it through this entire game, I give all the credit to the red bull I downed right before the game started. Also credit to my crazy friends who keep up the hype all night.

Once the game was over and I got all the photos up on the wildcat, you already know that I went straight to sleep.
Sunday September 25
Unfortunately for my sleeping schedule, I have church at 9 am. Poor Steph had a meeting at 7:30, so she had it real tough. McKenzie and Jenny didn't even wake up in time for church so they came a little bit later. There was a member of one of the seventies present at church, and I think everyone got real nervous that he was there so testimony meeting was actually super awkward.
Church was also sort of a real let down because I thought there was going to be Break the Fast AND THERE WASNT NOR WILL THERE EVER BE THIS YEAR. I am so peeved about it... I am all about skipping dinner the night before and breaking my fast at lunch, why can't everyone else do that too????
Tonight is round two of the Q & A game night, and Diana is bringing Cards Against Humanity, so you already know it's going to be wild. But I'm definitely not staying late tonight because I have quite a bit of sleep to catch up on.

Congrats if you made it through the blog!
