Rich Rod and I are BFFs

On Thursday I took pictures of the track & field meet, and I got a horrible sunburn. Track meets are long and there's large breaks in between every event so it wasn't very exciting. But I did get some good shots and my sunburn is slowly but surely turning into a tan.

On Friday I went to work, devotional, dollar lunch and kept my eyes glued to my study guide for my international relations exam. I took the exam at 2 and it almost took the whole hour to take it. I feel pretty good about all my answers... but I also felt really good about my last test (and we all know how that turned out)... so I am really unsure, and the worst part is not being able to know my score for a few weeks.
After my test, it was finally the weekend! I was particularly excited about this weekend because both my family and Zach were coming to party.
The first party event of the weekend was going to the Spring Football game with my grandparents. It was all fun and games, people were taking pictures, struggling to decide if we should be cheering for defense or offense... and then Avery dropped my phone and it cracked a whole lot more than it did before, but the phone is still functional all is well.

So if you're an Arizona fan you probably know that at the Spring games, the head coach, Rich Rod, goes out into the stands and chooses a few people to call the final plays of the game. He was looking for a person to make the last call of the game and I stood up and started pointing at my Dad, while he was simultaneously pointing back at me. Well we caught Rich Rod's eye and he started charging towards us, and I started to run away so my Dad would make the call, but I was the target. So I made the final call of the game, and it was a touchdown (even though it was easily defendable), so pretty much Rich Rod and I are best friends.

After the game we all went to Dave's BBQ and had the worst service ever. There were only two parties there (granted we were each a party of nine) and it took over an hour and a half to get our food. Want to know why? There was only one chef working... ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! Since it was taking so long for our food to come out, and Avery was getting cranky we asked our waiter if we could order nachos and if they would come out quickly, he said yes they will come out quickly because the appetizer chef was literally doing nothing... WHY WASNT THE APPETIZER CHEF HELPING THE REGULAR CHEF?!? Also, the nachos came out at the same time as the rest of our food. Oh, and to top it all off, they comp any of the meal... not even the nachos... AND they locked us in the store... what fun.

On Saturday, Zach, Steph, Kenzie, Avery and myself went to IHOP for breakfast and got much better service than we did the night before.
After breakfast my parents and Rory joined up with us and we went to Spring Fling!
Avery ended up going on only one ride and was absolutely terrified. When the ride started she freaked out and it didn't know what to do so she then focused all her energy on the wheel until the ride was over. We tried to cheer for her to make her happy but she was just not having it.

Since she didn't want to go on anymore rides, my Dad played a game and won her a smile plush thing.

The "big kids" went on all the crazy rides like these:

G Force rocks, and it was the first ride the big kids went on, a great way to start off the day.

This one was called Insanity... very fitting because the ride was absolutely insane! We went completely upside down hundreds of feet in the air for what felt like forever... seeing Tucson upside down is not any prettier upside right if we are being completely honest. It was awesome though.

Dropping rides are always fun.
This was the only ride we actually got pictures of us on. It was called Disko, and from the looks of it doesn't seem like it would be much fun, but it really was!

Then the real big kids (McKenzie, Rory and Zach) went on Mach 1 AKA the ride of death

This was the view from the top of the ride according to Zach's phone
Steph and I stayed on the ground and listened to them scream.

After a few hours at spring fling, we left and everyone had a little siesta.
Eventually my family left to get back home to Mesa, but Zach stuck around to party for the rest of the day. We tried to go to the apple store to get my phone fixed, but since I was a walk in, I was last priority and by the time they could fit me in to fix my phone it was five minutes until closing time. But the longer I have cracks on my phone the more used to it I will be, so everyone saves money... I really should buy a new case for it.
At night we rented Night At The Museum 3... which I fell asleep in half way through, but I thought the first half was really good!

This morning Zach left to make it back home in time for his ward in Mesa.
Steph, AB and I went to Stake Conference. Steph came well prepared with some coloring pages that kept us awake. I don't really like having General Conference and Stake Conference, two weeks in a row... it makes me feel like I haven't been to my actual ward in ages. But the plus side of Stake conference is all the babies which are non-existent in singles wards obviously. There was this one little girl who was walking around with a camera and taking pictures of everyone and everything WITH FLASH, it was so hilarious but also rather distracting.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday, can you believe we are almost half way done with April?
