Roomie Christmas // Finals Week

6 AM (the day after the party) the 1320 beezies woke up for roomie Christmas. In November we all drew names for secret santa, and we were all very dedicated to keeping who we have a secret, because once you know one... you know everyone. Well we were doing really well until a week before when Annabeth told Steph and Lauren who she had. I wasn't in the room, so they all decided to keep it a secret from me, but I am a smart cookie and by reasonable deduction I was able to figure out who everyone had.
Sydney: Lauren
Lauren: Steph
Steph: Annabeth
Annabeth: Sydney
Even though it wasn't a secret, the presents were still a secret so it was still fun!

Steph was very dedicated and woke up at 5 to go get everyone hot chocolate, so when we all came downstairs we had our presents under the mini tree, stocking hanging from our "fireplace", hot chocolate, cookies, and donuts (since there is no krispy kreme in Tucson we had to settle for Dunkin Donuts)

I was tired but super excited

Annabeth bought me How the Grinch Stole Christmas in French! If you didn't already know, The Grinch is my all time favorite Christmas book (and the Jim Carey movie is one of my favorite Christmas movies) and I took French throughout high school and a year in college, so this present is pretty much perfect!

She also got me a ton of Lush products. I am absolutely obsesses with Lush now!

This is hair dye I am too terrified to use... but I will someday!

After our Christmas was completed, I went back to sleep, just to wake up an hour and half later for church.
This was our very last Sunday together as roommates, which is actually really depressing when you think about it. Lauren also gave a talk in sacrament meeting, and totally rocked it. Steph and I tried to give her thumbs up afterwards but she never looked at us.
In Sunday school we talked about Christmas traditions, and I took a selfie with Tralyssa McVigil.
We also decided that not all iPhones are created equal

After Sunday school 1320 and the relief society presidency (Lauren is 2nd counselor) decided to commemorate our last Sunday all together with some photos.

This is Madi, the Relief Society president... she's a hoot

What are we going to do without Lauren keeping us in check?
We all tried to do the Annabeth pose that she says took years to master

Then we all went to Relief Society where Kaitlyn Mensing gave a great lesson and I learned that I am no good at Christmas trivia... I'll work on that.

Sunday night was the institute choir concert. I was privileged to sit with Lauren's family, since I am the only roomie not in the choir. Her family is so sweet!
The choir did an awesome job, lots of great choir faces.

Steph and Lauren are choir goddesses

On Monday I spent my entire day putting together my zine for my gender and women's studies class. It was a long stressful process but I finally finished it. And I was very happy about it (I ended up getting a 98% on it so woohoo)
Monday night for FHE we went to winter haven to see all the amazing Christmas lights! This is seriously one of my favorite Christmas activities, walking around a decked out neighborhood with good company and good hot chocolate.

Happy Chaukah Steph!

Tuesday was my first day of finals. At 8 AM I had my GWS final, but it wasn't really a final, we were just peer grading our zines and voting for the best ones, and plus it was a potluck breakfast. I will admit it was hard for me to wake up after a solid few days of sleeping in past 7, but the potluck made it worth it.
10:30 was my journalism final and I think I did pretty well on it! I've been checking my grades every hour, waiting for my grades to go in.
I'm still trying to decide whether or not to take my final tomorrow. The final is optional and can replace one of my other test grades. I currently have a B in the class and in order for me to get an A in the class I have to get 100% on the final... which really isn't likely to happen but I might as well try right? Yeah I don't know. I still can't decide.

So I am either currently done with school and have yet to celebrate, or I will be done tomorrow. Wooohoooo
I don't know what I am going to do today. Steph is going on a date, Lauren is in Mesa, Annabeth is somewhere. I suppose I could study or something for the final I may or may not take.
I am very excited for tomorrow though because it's Lauren's graduation, and I'm coming home! I cannot wait for my winter break to finally start!
