Another One Bites The Dust

On Tuesday after I took my Nutrition final I traveled to Mesa to see Trevor get set apart as a missionary before he left for the Mexico MTC on Wednesday. What's left of the fam, his girlfriend Emily, and a lot of his family were all able to be there for him on an exciting and tear jerking night.

We all ate Venezias ginormous pizza slices at his house, and partied it up during Trevor's last hours of being a human... and by partied it up I mean we all went on a walk with his dog, took lots of pictures and just enjoyed each other's company.
The whole setting apart meeting was so sweet and many tears were shed because of how much everyone just loves Trevor! I was able to keep myself together, but I sure do love this kid and I am so grateful for his friendship in the past couple years, he's been the greatest snapchat buddy and can always put me in the best mood. Honduras has taken captive another one of my best friends, but I know the people they will be eternally blessed just like I have been from his friendship. Fam parties will become a little more dull, but Trevor is where he needs to be.

I wish I could tell you what they were doing

Saige (Trev's little sister) transferred Trevor's hugs to Emily after he was set apart and they couldn't hug.

Wednesday morning I came back to Tucson because I had work! I would have requested off work honestly, had it not have been the day of the Peer Mentor celebration. I love these celebrations because it is the only time that we have ALL the peer mentors and ALL the students and ALL of the leadership team in one room, celebrating the good times we have had over the semester. I am very grateful to have such an amazing job with such amazing people, students and fellow mentors included.
Here is the EXTENDED video that was played at the party (if you watched the link on my facebook, this one is different)

Here is the only picture I have from the party. Taylor and the goofball Jesus!

Thursday was dead day. I spent the entire day working on my zine for my Gender and Women Studies class and cleaning my room... yes that's right... I cleaned. But at night I went to a mistletoga party at our neighbor's house. We decorated cookies, admired everyone's togas, played a crazy game of charades, and people awkwardly stood by the mistletoe all night... just kidding... people avoided it most of the night.

TOGA TOGA TOGA... modest... TOGA TOGA TOGA

Friday I had work, I spent the morning with Shayley and the afternoon with Tyler. Today was particularly bittersweet because the first student I ever worked with, Joren Chapman, it was his very last day at U of A because he is switching to a different program next semester. He has supplied me with endless laughs, fun, dance battles, werewolf/vampire battles and dreams. I sure am going to miss this kid and the joy he brings to my life every single day at work.

Finals week has got me stressed out. Well really only one test and it's optional. In order for me to get an A in the class I have to 100% on the final... it's pretty unlikely but I am going to go for it anyway because there is no harm in trying... except for the stress accumulating as I study. Other than that test I only have one other final (journalism) which i am not worried about and one final project that I am practically done with. But I can already see the light at the end of the road... and that light is Disneyland: 8 MORE DAYS!!!
