You've had a birthday, shout hooray!

HOORAY!

If you didn't already know, I turned 19 on Tuesday wooohooo! I stayed up until midnight (which turned out to be a pretty difficult task) and got sung to by my beautiful roommates. I then immediately went back to sleep. My 8 am class was cancelled so I got to sleep in a little bit. When I woke up and came down stair "Santa came" as Steph describes it...

Also happy 1 year to Ben Kevin

Then I went to waffle Tuesday with Steph and Annabeth. There were TONS of people there, a lot more than usual. I wish I could say they were all there to celebrate my birthday, but half of them had no idea until Steph stuck a candle in my waffle and started singing to me. Also shout out to Steph for paying for my waffle.

After waffle tuesday I had school until 5 pm so we shall just fast forward to 6 pm when I went to my birthday dinner with Steph, Lauren, Annabeth, Taylor, Natalie, Rory, Dakota and Matt. My dinner of choice was Native New Yorker for wing night. It was an awesome fun time!

S/O to Lauren for buying the cake and for Steph and Annabeth for bringing it to the restaurant and "surprising me" with it

After we went home I experimented with my brand new camera lens (shout out to Elin) with Steph and the mini Christmas tree that Steph put up in our house.

And then my birthday came to a close, and even though I was at school for the entire day, it was a birthday for the books!

On Wednesday I missed the delivery of my birthday gift the new Iphone 6. Lauren was a saint and drove me to FedEx to pick up my package... it took us awhile to get there... took some wrong turns... were on the wrong side of the road... but we made it there and back alive with my brand new phone! It's absolutely gorgeous, thanks to my parents and grandparents for getting it for me! When we got back the missionaries were already at our house to have dinner. They tried to teach us this trust exercise, Lauren and I failed at it, but Steph and Annabeth got it eventually.

Thursday I had two exams and that just took any ounce of energy I had in my body that day. Luckily I got a good grade on one of them, and I am awaiting the results for the other.
The missionaries came over AGAIN for dinner on Thursday, this time the object lesson was about being disciples of Christ AKA fishers of men, so we played a fishing game like you probably used to do in Primary.
After the missionaries left, my roommates left to go see Mockingjay and I stayed at home cause I knew I was going to see it the next day.

FRIDAY!
What a great day yesterday was!
It started off with one hour of work, one hour of attending a presentation to get extra credit in my nutrition class, one hour of Gilmore Girls AND THEN ZACH AND TREVOR ARRIVED TO TUCSON! I was so excited because this was the first time either of them had every visited me, and they got to come to my birthday party later that night.
When they got here we immediately went to lunch at Chick Fil A and then went to go see Mockingjay! I thought it was AMAZING. I haven't read the book in years so I forgot a lot of details, which was nice because the more I know the more I criticize. I'm definitely going to re read it after part 2 comes out.
After the movie we went to my house to find that our roomie pictures came in!!!! Super exciting! So we spent an hour looking through those and watching bad lip reading videos. Here is a sneak peak of the photos:

I felt like Zach and Trevor needed some model photographs too..

Afterwards we went to Taco Bell and then made our way to Funtastiks for my super totally wicked awesome laser tag birthday party. We played two games: one with teams, and one free for all. Andrew won the team round, and Trevor won the free for all round. I came in 15th (out of 27) in the first round, the 11th in the second #progression. It was super fun being able to annihilate my friends.
Afterwards we all came back to my house and even more people showed up. Steph made SUPER delicious cupcakes for everyone!
S/O to my journalism homie Tessa for taking these photos

After cake we played silent football. This game was particularly interesting with a lot of vets and a lot of newbies. I can't reveal too much about the game but I will tell you that one of the punishments was licking icing off of someones nose. I cannot reveal who either people were in that situation.
Lauren ended up losing the game and had to take a shot of a mixture of worcestershire sauce, vanilla and my green superfood. Her face would tell you that it probably wasn't the most delicious concoction in the world.

Afterwards we played a few rounds of What If before everyone started to clear out and it was time for me to sleep!
I absolutely love birthdays, not even just mine, birthdays in general! This birthday has definitely been amazing and I will never forget it. Thank you to EVERYONE who made it special!
My goal for my twentieth birthday: look cute while blowing out candles.
