A Tribute to Will Ferrell

So flashback to April. Connor, Kate, Steph, Lauren, Rory, Annabeth and myself (and maybe some others that I cannot remember) were sitting at the institute and decided we needed to have a party, and we concluded that the party should be a Will Ferrell costume party. So this party was supposed to happen in May but it sadly got cancelled so my roommates and myself resurrected the idea to be the first 1320 party of the semester last night.
So the concept was to dress up as a Will Ferrell character in a movie/tv show/ sketch or any supporting actors that had the privilege of working along side Will... and if you didn't dress up then you were lame and kicked out of the party... just kidding, those who didn't dress up were welcomed as well.

So here are some costumes of the night:

They didn't actually have costumes so I said they were workers in the lego movie.

*There were many others who did not dress up or I did not get pictures of

So the party schedule was the usual... We first played "What If" while people were still arriving, then the dance party started, the costume contest winners were announced, then karaoke, and some more dancing.

Now here are some more pictures from the party:
Starting out the karaoke strong with some One Direction

Maddy is so totes adorbs

Connor and Dakota performed their "get psyched for ochem"

Drew (a friend of Lauren's) really rocked out to the Little Mermaid

Grabingers know how to party especially when they are singing along to Toxic by Britney Spears

It took awhile to get Marcus to karaoke but when he did, he rocked some great poses

Matt and Lauren getting down to Wannabee

I told everyone "look like you're having fun" this was the result

Chloe's epic head bang

EJ has the greatest karaoke faces

This kids can rap Super Bass like none other

Dakota was the brave soul that tackled Bohemian Rhapsody

It was too hot for Ron Burgundy to stay in his suit

Also Maddy and I did our classic karaoke song Party in the USA with our guest singer Tory, and we rocked it.

There was a lot of people in our house so it was VERY HOT but luckily we had our backyard open (which we cleaned earlier in the day) for chillaxing. And in the kitchen we had food for everyone. It was indeed a very hoppin party and a great way to start the new school year, many more parties and adventures to come.

Special thanks to the boys who moved our couches in and out of our house!

  1. I think this whole blog post should have just been dedicated to Dakotas bohemian rhapsody. Honestly that should have been captured on film.
