Mr & Mrs Prince Taytay

Thursday morning I arose bright and early to pack up for the road trip of the year! EJ Richardson, Steph Luc, Dakota Marshall, Clark Wager, Mark Wager and myself started our trek to Taylor and Natalie's wedding in Utah at 6:30 AM. While we were driving Steph showed me land marks in which she knows where she is located. The best one was when she knew we were near Vegas... because of nipple mountain.
And of course along the way people were falling asleep, therefore it was a photo opportunity.
You can tell that I had just woken up because my makeup was all over the place.

In general from my house to the Provo area is a 12 hour drive, but we made such great timing we got there in 11. So around 5 PM we arrive at Taylors parents house in Orem, Utah. We met his totally awesome family and then headed over to our hotel which Taylors mom was awesome enough to provide for us! The boys were in a separate hotel than the girls, but the hotels were right next to each other so it was practically like we were in the same one. Both of our hotels were really nice. To me, my hotel felt like a mermaid lived in it and the boys hotel was super boyish and classy.
So after we put all of our stuff into our hotel rooms we went out to dinner to one of Taylors favorites, Wing Nutz. The best part of dinner was the fact that Megan Eyre joined us! You may not know who she is because prior to this blog I have always called her Sister Eyre, but now that she is no longer a missionary I assume it would be rather odd to continue to call her sister. After dinner we went back to Taylors place to pick up Steph Shaw who had been spending the day with Natalie and her family. Then we went laser tagging! Last year, I took a trip to Utah with Sadie, EJ and my Dad and during some down time Sadie and I went to a laser tag place, which just happened to be the same laser tag place that we went to on Thursday night. The only difference was that I was much better at laser tag on Thursday than I was last year. Our first round was just an every man for himself round, and I scored the highest. After that round I dubbed myself the queen of laser tag. The second round another group of people had arrived so we played on teams... throughout the majority of the game my team was in the lead by at least 5 points, but somehow in the end the other team pulled through and beat us. Although we lost, I shot enough people that I did not step down from my title as the laser tag queen.
After laser tag we were all pretty exhausted and we had a fun and long day coming our way the next day so we went back to the hotel to sleep.

Friday morning I went to breakfast in the hotel with Steph Luc and EJ, ate some waffles and then returned to my room to get ready for the wedding day!
Once we were all ready we went over to Tay Tays place, I think we were all expecting him to be ready when we got there... but this is what answered the door...
He was not ready at all...
Although it was a big deal that Taylor was not ready quite yet, it was an even bigger deal that Steph Luc had her hair down, wearing a dress and heels! This is something you see very few times in your life so we had to take a picture.
Then came prep time for Taylor. EJ, his best man helped him get ready while Steph L and I documented everything. Most of my footage was video which is in a video I put together which I will share the link to towards the end, but here are just a couple pictures I got of him getting ready.

EJ wanted to try on Taylors suit coat

After Taylor was ready everyone left for the temple that was going to go inside to see the wedding. That left me with a car to drive to South Jordan with Steph L, Steph S, Dakota and Mark. Everyone thought I was going to kill them but we made it to the Oquirrh temple just fine, and I only hit one kid along the way... just kidding, I really did drive fine I promise.
When we got to the temple the ceremony had just ended but Taylor and Natalie would not make their exit for at least another half hour so we took a few photos outside the temple.

Then it was time for their exit out of the temple! Again, the only footage I got was on video... I promise I will post the video... But here are yet again just a few photos that I captured or someone captured for me from the photo taking session.

A major theme in the road trip was being a typical white girl, so of course we had to take selfies with the happy new married couple.

Steph and I are the dream team of documenters.

After the photo taking session we headed over to American Fork for a late lunch. When we got the the reception place all the groomsmen had the girls put on their boutonnieres for the reception and pictures and such. Taylor and Natalie rewarded Steph and I for documenting their wedding with our dream team candy, shockers!
On the menu for the lunch was Chicken Cordon Bleu.... I think that is how it's spelled. Anyhow, although I have heard the name I didn't know what it actually was... it was very delicious but I do not know how I feel about violating a chicken with a ham... oh well, still good!
During the lunch and reception there was a slideshow put together of Taylor and Natalie from when they were younger. Taylor looks exactly the same but Natalie was so adorable I couldn't get over her chubbiness!
After the lunch some tables were cleared so the reception could start! I loved all the food and treats they had! There was a crepe station with all kinds of topping you could add, and they had a hot chocolate bar with all kinds of flavors to add, it was awesome!
It was super cool to see their sign in book thing and scrapbook and see all the pictures that I was apart of and took! It's been great getting to know the both of them this semester, they have both become some of my greatest friends!
Although the music wasn't very loud (thanks to the lady who owned the building) that didn't stop the Arizona peeps from getting down on the dance floor. We tried to get everyone up and dancing but it was a lost cause eventually. But whether people were dancing, eating or just chatting it was an awesome reception! I got to meet new people, like my new friend Sean who is also another one of Taylors "best friends", and all their different family members!
Alright here is the moment you all have been waiting for...

It's 20 minutes long but thats very short considering there is 12 hours worth of footage in this video. If for some reason the video above does not work here is the direct link : http://youtu.be/vtQhKLWPMhg
Eventually we sent the newlyweds off and we left the reception but we were not quite ready to go back to the hotel to hit the sack. Instead we took a detour to the provo temple.

Then we went back to the hotel to get ready to go hot tubbing, but before we went hot tubbing we got a quick snack at a local burger joint. I think it was called Supreme Burger.... don't quote me on that though... but it was one of the best burgers I had ever had hands down! Once we ate we went over to the boys hotel to go hot tubbing. Unfortunately Dakota was the only one prepared for a hot tub so everyone else just stuck their feet in... or stuck their pants in like I did. After hot tubbing we went back to the hotel.

Saturday was travel back to Arizona day. But we were not going to just go straight home, we decided we needed pictures of our adventures road tripping so we decided to take pit stops along the way.
Before we left Orem we took a picture in front of Wing Nutz and the mountains

Our next stop was Cedar City, Utah to go to the spirit of discovery circle at SUU. I got a picture with the one and only Madame Curie.

Next stop was St George Utah to visit the St George temple.
I managed to get a selfie with some random persons wedding

Then we stopped in the Richardsons favorite place... Vegas!
This is where we spent most of our time. We divided and conquered running up and down the strip.

Our last stop was to take a picture by the majestic Joshua Trees. Unfortunately I did not get a good picture on my camera... my nikon just couldnt capture the majesty!

We eventually made it back to Mesa at 11 ish at night!
It was an awesome trip, I wish it could have been longer but I wouldn't have changed a thing about it. S/O to EJ for driving us and being awesome and S/O to Taytay and Natalie for getting married to make this roadtrip happen!
