I went to my discussion classes in the morning, because I am such a good student. After my two classes, it was dollar lunch! This dollar lunch was particularly exciting because there would be music playing during lunch (no, not church music, actual jamming music). Steph had previously put in requests and can you guess what was her first request? Total Eclipse of the Heart of course! Steph, Lauren and I were totally jamming. No one was having more fun at dollar lunch than we were.
We also made a new friend at dollar lunch! Andrew (a guy in my ward) had a friend come visit him from Mesa for the weekend, his name is Jaxon. I had only talked to him for about two minutes before he asked me to marry him. Jaxon ended up spending a lot of time with Steph, Lauren and I while Andrew went to class. He tagged along in all of our preparations for the party that was going to happen that night. He definitely made the day a lot more interesting and entertaining for us all.
So after dollar lunch we were setting up for the party, putting up decorations, making cupcakes, cleaning the house etc. Before the party, the roomies, EJ, Clark and I went to Jimmy Johns for a small birthday dinner. Then we came back to do the last minute preparations for what was going to be the best party ever.
The party timeline went a little something like this: awkward mingle time, game time, dance time, karaoke time, and more dance time. Now that may seem like a regular birthday party for most people, but imagine a normal birthday party and multiply that by 24 and that was EJs birthday party. If you don't believe me just know that the party started at 7:30 and the last people left at 2:30. And if that doesn't help at all, here are pictures from the night to prove it (if you want all of the pictures, check out my facebook album)

In order to make more room for dancing in our living room, we had to move the pullout couch outside
This is Taylor... he knows I hate affection so he loves to hug me.

This was definitely the party of the year and my favorite night in Tucson... so far at least. My brother really knows how to party.
The party was so fantastic, I had a mormon party hangover the next day when EJ and I went home to Mesa. On the drive home, we rocked out to Backstreet Boys and Heart.
When we got to Mesa, the first thing we did was go to Krispy Kreme to get some free birthday doughnuts. It was really nice seeing some of my old co-workers, and to get my paycheck that I was never able to pick up.
After Krispy Kreme we opened some presents with the family and then had a dance party with Avery.
Avery is a very bossy dance director. Don't believe me? Here is a video.
Avery insulted the entire family when she told us that she hates "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears... She would much rather listen to "Roar" by Katy Perry.
After the dance party we went to Pei Wei for lunch with Avery and the parents. After that my Dad was in "too much pain" from his back, and had to go home. So the real party people went to target and the mall. We bought "The Game of Things", which we played later that day and I dominated at. A siesta took place while I went and visited one of my friends, Tanner. Then after a siesta we went to Macayos (a family favorite Mexican restaurant) and Bahama Bucks for dessert!
Although the family party was not a dance party like the Tucson one, it was still a very fun day.
After the family party I went and hung out with my bff Zachary once he got off work. Everyone else in my little group of friends were in a different state. I love being able to see my friends when I come home though, even if it's for a little while.
Overall, it was a very fun weekend and I hope my brother enjoyed it as much as I did!
