Home For The Weekend

I went home to Mesa for the weekend for one of my very good friends Sydney Baugh's (I guess it is now Sydney McCleve) wedding! She looked so beautiful and the barn she held her reception in was beautiful barn, and the whole reception was beautiful. It was really awesome seeing her and her new hubby so happy. And I also got to see a ton of moms that used to be in my ward when Syd and I were in the same ward together that I got to catch up with. I have been very blessed to have been friends with Sydney since I was... 12? I think. It's been awhile. She has been a great example for me and I am so happy for her and her new husband. I am kind of depressed I didn't get a picture with her at her reception, so here is a picture of me and her about 5 years ago and a picture that I stole from her facebook of her wedding day.

Then after the reception, I went to go visit my two best friends, Sadie & Zach, at bahama bucks since they were both working. It was very exciting because we went from spending every day together to not seeing each other for three weeks.

 I promise was Sadie was much happier, she is just in the shaving ice zone at that moment.

And then my other very good friends Trevor and Jacob showed up to bahama bucks! It was a very exciting time for me filled with a ton of hugs and happiness. Once Sadie and Zach got off work, we all hung out and did the usual. Go to Zachs house and sit on his couch and watch netflix. 

The next morning I went to my cousins baptism all the way in Avondale. She is the sassiest girl I know and she looked so cute in her baptism dress. After the baptism we went to their house and my Grandpa "trapped" Avery and McKenzie in the trampoline. I wanted to get a picture of them looking sad and trapped, but I think Avery got a little confused... 

Later that day I went to go hang out with Sadie, Zach, Trevor, Jacob, Keaton and Parker (it's whole little family). Apparently it was established that we all have roles in this family. Sadie and Parker are the grandparents, Zach and I are the parents, Jacob and Keaton are the twin babies, and Trevor is the foster child from Mexico. Anyway, we all went out to dinner at red robin without Trevor because he had to work (insert sad face). We all packed into Parkers car and there was one too many people in the car so Zach, Jacob, Keaton and I were all crammed in the back... and it looked a little something like this.

It was more comfortable for some than others.

Oh I forgot to mention before we went to Red Robin we made a discovery that Sadie is the size of two children. 

It was pretty adorable.

Okay so after dinner, we decided to burn mine and Sadies summer flag because we failed to do so before I left for tucson. Here is a video of the momentous moment!

Afterwards my night was full of goodbyes... and I hate goodbyes even though I know they are only temporary.

Overall it was a very fun weekend and I was very happy to see my family and friends, but I am excited to get back to Tucson.

AND congrats to my best friend in Tucson... Taylor for proposing to his girlfriend! They are the cutest ever... and he asked he in the best way ever! For all you How I Met Your Mother fans, it was the same style as how Barney asked Robin to marry him. I was very sad I couldn't be there but so excited to hear all about it when I get back to Tucson tonight.
